Worshiping With Compassion

Psalm 100:2

Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

This morning we began our day with worship at one of the many Compassion International Centers in the Dominican Republic. If you look carefully you can see Wally in the front row busting out some moves I don’t think any of us knew he even had.

God wants us to rejoice and celebrate in His name and no one can do that as well as these kids. He tells us we must become like children, full of pure joy. This morning we got to do that. And to be honest we needed it before entering some of these homes. We met Yerelyn, a young girl from the dangerous neighborhood of Gualey and her mother. They live in a very small home with Yerelyn’s four siblings. Her mother is a single mom and says she is grateful for the Compassion project providing hope for a better future for her and for teaching her about Jesus.

Yerelyn and her mother welcomed us into their home and shared about how Compassion has provided hope for their family. Yerelyn is waiting for a sponsor and can be helped by visiting Compassion.com/kduv.
