We do not sell commercial time, but we do accept underwriting grants from businesses to offset a portion of the operating expenses. There may be some similarities to commercial advertising, but also some very precise differences.

Underwriting is understood to be a part of business giving and is not an advertisement. We acknowledge grants/grantors on the air (name recognition) for their contribution. We also identify the grantor by their business name, location, phone number, products, and services they provide.

What is not allowed is "sales pitch" language, e.g. comparisons to competitors, qualitative/quantitative language, price, or other call-to-action language that might be considered an inducement to buy something. Even "FREE" offers are prohibited.

All contributions by underwriting grant may be tax-deductible.
