On Saturday, September 18, 2010, community members of all ages will show their support for unborn children and their families by participating in the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center’s 25th Anniversary Walk for Life.

The walk will begin in the Park at River Walk, at the corner Buena Vista Road and Stockdale Highway. Registration and check-in for walkers begins at 8:30 a.m., with a 2 mile walk along the Kern River Parkway starting at 9:30 a.m. Supporters of the Pregnancy Center who have enlisted sponsors will walk a 2-mile course, enjoy a complimentary meal, and earn prizes for their participation. The whole family is encouraged to attend.

Everyone who registers for the Walk will receive a Walk for Life 2010 T-shirt. Grand prizes will be presented to the top earners in three age-group categories. The goal for 2010 is to have 250 walkers and to raise $30,000 which will help support the services of the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center.
