Community Events

The Bakersfield High School Band Boosters are combining fund raising, record-breaking and fun into an afternoon at the park.  On August 28, 2010 at 6 p.m., citizens of Bakersfield can join in on attempting to break the world record for the largest water balloon fight in history.

For the nominal price of just five dollars participants will receive an event t-shirt, two water balloons and the infamy of participating in breaking a world record.  You can get additional balloons for just a dollar (you get two for that price). 

The Boosters will also be holding a carnival from noon until five p.m.

The event will take place at Yokuts Park.
