The public is invited to a two-hour outdoor Zumba class Thursday at In-Shape Sport Visalia, which is collecting items for the Visalia Rescue Mission.

Zumba combines Latin movements from salsa, cumbia, quebradita and reggeton dances. The class will be taught by certified Zumba instructors.

The Visalia Rescue Mission serves three meals a day, seven days a week. According to a press release, they serve more than 500 meals a day.

Suggested donations include: canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meats and tuna, pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter, jelly, jam, nuts, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, soups, drink mixes, coffee, sugar, Splenda, flour, women's and men's toiletries, white twin sheets, white towels, white washcloths and sleeping bags.

The Zumba Drive is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at In-Shape Sport Visalia, 909 N. Demaree St.
