Community Events

This workshop is designed to help women recognize their personal strength, and uses the metaphor of "pearls" as treasures that form inside an oyster in response to an irritant. Similarly, survivors of domestic violence gain strength and wisdom as they create healthy, violence-free lives.

The Pearls of Wisdom projects will be part of an exhibition, online blog, catalogue and related events commemorating A Window Between Worlds’ 20th Anniversary at the Korean Cultural Center in March 2011.

Local Participation: We will be contributing to this project by completing a pearl at our local workshop and forwarding them to be in the exhibit. Cost is $5 to cover materials/room fees.
