Community Events

The Abundant Life Center is gathering canned food donations from the community. They're asking for the community’s involvement in their Hope for The Hungry event. The event will be held at the Abundant Life Center on Thanksgiving Day!

Hope for the Hungry will be a hot Thanksgiving meal that low-income families and the homeless are able to enjoy. They will also be giving out gift bags which include dental hygiene products and coloring books and stickers for children.

They are asking individuals, clubs, organizations and businesses to help us feed Tulare by making a monetary donation or simply by collecting canned foods for this event. Canned food items that will be needed are: peas, corn, green beans, and canned gravy. Any other canned foods or non-perishable items will be greatly appreciated. They are also looking for volunteers to get involved. Ask your friends, neighbors and family, and remember this Thanksgiving to give thanks by giving.

The community is welcome and encouraged to come out and participate in this event. Event will be held at the Abundant Life Center at 2201 E. Bardsley Ave. Tulare CA 93274 (559)-687-8741 on Thanksgiving Day Thursday November 25th, 2010 12noon-4pm.
